Twin Lobe Blowers
The Principal of Twin Lobe
The blower consists of two rotors mounted on parallel shafts inside a housing. A pair of gears causes the rotors to rotate in opposite directions. As each rotor lobe passes over the inlet, it traps a constant volume of air, carries it around the housing, and delivers it to the outlet. The displacement is positive, and the volume of air remains constant. No pressure is developed inside the blower itself; instead, pressure is created at the discharge side due to system load. The power required is proportional to the pressure generated.
